How to generate 2FA codes and QR codes

Use a secret or a QR image to generate codes and convert authenticator setup data.

  1. 1

Enter a secret or import a QR image

Paste a Base32 secret or otpauth link under “Key / link”, or select “QR image” to choose, paste or drop an image containing one TOTP QR code.

  2. 2

Generate and copy your TOTP code

An imported QR image generates codes automatically. For text input, click “Generate codes”. Check the account and code settings, then copy the code before the countdown ends. Enter one account per line for batches.

  3. 3

    Convert, download and clear

Click “Key to QR code” or “Show QR code” in an account result to download a PNG. For multiple accounts, choose each result separately. Clear the form when finished and keep downloaded QR images private.

2FA and QR code questions

Learn about image requirements, supported formats and local processing.

Which 2FA QR images are supported?

Use a PNG, JPG/JPEG or WebP image up to 5 MiB containing one standard TOTP setup QR code or Base32 secret. Web links, HOTP codes and bulk authenticator migration QR codes are not supported.

Does converting a secret to a QR code preserve its settings?

A valid otpauth link or TOTP QR code preserves the account label, issuer, algorithm, digit count and period. Supported settings are SHA-1/256/512, 6/7/8 digits and 10–300 seconds. A bare Base32 secret defaults to SHA-1, 6 digits and 30 seconds. Your authenticator must support the same settings.

Can I generate 2FA codes in batches?

Text input supports up to 20 nonempty lines and 8,192 characters in total. Enter one supported secret or setup link per line. Images are limited to one QR code at a time; generate QR codes separately from each account result.

Why is a generated code rejected at login?

Confirm that the secret belongs to the account, your device clock is correct, and the algorithm, digits and period match its settings. Use the code before it expires. This tool calculates codes locally; it does not sign in to websites or check account or subscription status.

Are images, secrets or generated QR codes saved?

Recognition, conversion and code generation run in your browser. Images and secrets are not uploaded or written to browser storage. Clearing the form or leaving the page removes its current content; downloaded PNG files remain in the location you selected.
